INDICATIONS: Treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis & osteoporosis in menprevention & treatment of corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis
CONTRA INDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to biphosphates. Abnormalities of the esophagus which delay esophageal emptying.
PRECAUTIONS: Discontinue use if symptoms eg dysphagia,worsening heartburn, gastritis, duodonitis or ulcers.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, vomiting esophagitis, esophageal ulcers, musculoskeletal pain, rash and pruritus.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Calcium supplement, antacids and other oral medications.
