INDICATIONS: Unresponsive left ventricular failure secondary to acute MI. Severe or unstable angina pectoris

CONTRA INDICATIONS: Acute circulatory failure (shock circulatory collapse), marked hypotension (systolic BP <95 mmHg), cardiogenic shock

PRECAUTIONS: Acute MI w/ low filling pressures. Pregnancy & lactation

SIDE EFFECTS: Vasodilation-related headache; flushing, dizziness, orthostatic hypotension & reflex tachycardia

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Antihypertensives, Ca channel blockers, vasodilators, TCAs, alcohol, dihydroergotamine
